There is no day like Pascha: it is the feast of feasts and the day of days. It is the most important feast and the most important day of the year. What a great day to invite a friend to join us at St. Vladimir's! Please take a moment now and invite a friend – or two – or five – or more to the Paschal service. Pascha is May 5 so do not wait! Join us beginning at 11:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 4 and stay with us right through our Paschal meal early Sunday morning after all the beautiful Divine Services. Do not hide the Pearl of Great Price – invite a friend to join us this year for the Lord's Glorious Resurrection at St. Vladimir's!

Paschal baskets will be blessed at St. Vladimir's following the Divine Liturgy on Holy Saturday (May 4) as well as every subsequent Divine Service of Bright Week. It is most traditional for baskets to be blessed after the Divine Liturgy on Pascha itself, but we realize that this does not work for everyone's schedule, and thus we offer an early opportunity (after the Holy Saturday Divine Liturgy) and later opportunities (after every Divine Service of Bright Week). If you basket is blessed on Holy Saturday after Liturgy you agree that you will not partake of the non-Lenten foods until after the Divine Liturgy on Pascha night, for the fast does not end at midnight, but after the Divine Liturgy on the feast!

St. Vladimir Parish Family members who would like to donate flowers to decorate the tomb of our Lord for Holy Week and the Paschal Icon for Bright Week are asked to stop in the kiosk to make your donation. Please be sure to provide the names of your loved ones both living and departed to be commemorated at the Holy Week and Bright Week Divine Liturgies when you make your donation. We present here a short educational offering for both children and adults on the upcoming Sunday's principle Gospel reading so that all can better prepare for the Divine Services. Parents are asked to review the children’s portion with their children. It is very important for us to attend the Divine Services on Sundays and whenever else we are able, but in addition it is our spiritual responsibility to educate ourselves and our families in the faith. It is our hope that this mid-week offering will be an aid in this regard. Please contact Fr. Gregory with questions or suggestions.
