Monday First Things - Teachings of the Holy Fathers
24/12/18, 06:00 AM
Posted by Fr. Gregory

It is God, Who is merciful and grants everyone what he needs, Who is building him up when He gives him more than he needs; in doing so He shows the abundance of His love for men and teaches him to give thanks. When He does not grant him what he needs, He makes him compensate for the thing he needs through the working of the mind and teaches him patience.

Invite those in Need to Lunch Every Sunday
22/12/18, 06:00 AM
Posted by Fr. Gregory

We invite our parish family to invite friends and loved ones who are in need to our parish meal each Sunday at 1200. As a parish we have a responsibility and a desire to follow the Matthew 25 commandments of our Lord. This is a one small way in which we can do this. Spread the word! We are happy to have others join us for lunch!

Posted by Fr. Gregory

Dear St. Vladimirs Parishioners! We would like to urge you to consider whether making a donation to the parish before December 31, 2018 would be helpful for you as you consider your tax liability for the year 2018. Donations to St. Vladimir Church are deductible to the greatest extent allowable by law. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions in this regard. It is also very important that your address be up to date in our parish database. If you have moved this year please contact our parish Secretary, Alexandre Alexandrov, with your new address. -Mikhail Fisenkov, Treasurer (treasurer@stvladimiraami.org).

Monday First Things - Teachings of the Holy Fathers

Who hated sin more than the saints? But they did not hate the sinners at the same time, nor condemn them, nor turn away from them. But they suffered with them, admonished them, comforted them. gave them remedies as sickly members, and did all they could to heal them.

Most of us attend Liturgy regularly on Sundays, but rarely other days. Still, it is good to know when we make prostrations on weekdays, and this is why we have put together this handout. Please contact Fr. Gregory with questions. See the handout in PDF format here:
